Football expert Mark Goldbridge does not agree with former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand about who should win the 2025 Ballon d’Or. Ferdinand recently said that Barcelona’s young star Lamine Yamal deserves to win the award after the club’s 3-3 draw with Inter Milan in the Champions League.

But Goldbridge thinks differently. He said that Raphinha, who also plays for Barcelona, and Ousmane Dembele, now at PSG, have both had better seasons than Yamal.

Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Goldbridge wrote: “Yamal is a great player, but giving him the Ballon d’Or already is too much. Raphinha is having a fantastic season, and so is Dembele. Let’s have a more realistic view instead of getting carried away.”
