Former President Goodluck Jonathan has said that people no longer look down on products made in Aba, Abia State. He shared this message at a University of Port Harcourt (Uniport) alumni event in Umuahia.

Jonathan, who was represented by Godknows Igali, praised the current governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, for changing public opinion about Aba-made goods. According to him, many people used to laugh at products from Aba, but now, customers are rushing to buy them because of the improvements happening in the state.

He said, “Governor Alex Otti shows serious and focused leadership. In the past, people joked about Aba-made items, but today, everyone wants them.”

Jonathan also said Uniport was the only university in Nigeria that has produced six Governors, a Vice President, and even a President.

Governor Otti thanked the Uniport Alumni for coming to visit and touring some of the projects he’s working on in the state.

The event was also attended by Bayelsa State Governor Duoye Diri, former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, and other notable figures.
