Former U.S. President Donald Trump has asked New York Attorney General Letitia James to step down from her position. He made this demand on Sunday night through a post on his Truth Social platform.

Trump called James a “wacky crook” and accused her of being completely corrupt. He said New York can never improve while she remains in office.

“Letitia James, a totally corrupt politician, should resign from her position as New York State Attorney General, immediately,” Trump wrote. “Everyone is trying to make New York great again, and it can never be done with this wacky crook in office.”

Letitia James is currently facing questions about a real estate deal she made in August 2023. This happened shortly before she filed a major civil fraud lawsuit against Trump.
