Nigerian Afrobeats artist Fireboy DML recently opened up about a date he had with American music legend Madonna. The 29-year-old singer shared his experience during an interview on the 90s Baby Show, where he called Madonna a “crazy woman” in a playful and positive way.

Fireboy revealed that Madonna invited him out, and she even paid the bill. He said he offered to pay, but she insisted. “It’s Madonna, mehn. Allowed!” he joked.

He mentioned that their conversation during the date was deep and eye-opening. “It was refreshing. I got to see things from a different point of view,” he said. Although he didn’t reveal everything they talked about, Fireboy described the night as “very crazy.”

In a separate 2024 interview with Billboard News, he called the date the “most memorable day” of his life and described Madonna as “so weird and funny.”

Madonna and Fireboy worked together in 2022 when she featured him on a remix of her classic song Frozen. They also filmed the music video in the U.S.
