There’s no leadership vacuum in Labour Party. The supreme court did not say my tenure has expired – Abure

The National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure, has said there is no leadership crisis in the party. He made this statement during the Labour Party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Monday, April 7, at the party’s headquarters in Utako, Abuja.

Abure said that his leadership is still valid and there is no gap in the party’s leadership. He also clarified that the Supreme Court did not say his time in office is over.

He criticized the group calling itself the “National Caretaker Committee,” saying it is not legal and not part of the Labour Party’s rules. “That committee is not known by any law that governs the Labour Party,” he said.

Abure also pointed out that a recent meeting held in Umuahia, Abia State, was not a real NEC meeting. He said the people behind that event are trying to confuse members and harm the party. “The so-called caretaker committee is not legal. They are only trying to create problems for our party,” he added.
