Belgian football club KAA Gent is currently discussing a new contract with Nigerian defender Jordan Torunarigha.
The 27-year-old player’s current deal with the team is close to ending, but Gent wants to keep him longer. Talks are still ongoing between the club and Torunarigha’s agents, according to Belgian media outlet Het Laatste Nieuws.
Earlier this year, Torunarigha was linked with a move to Anderlecht, one of Belgium’s top clubs. However, Gent stopped him from leaving during last summer’s transfer window.
This season, Torunarigha has played in 24 league games for Gent and has provided one assist. The club seems eager to keep him as part of their plans for the future.
