Former Nigerian footballer Celestine Babayaro has encouraged Chelsea to sign Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman. He believes both players would be excellent additions to the team.
Osimhen and Lookman are likely to change clubs this summer. Osimhen is nearing the end of his loan spell with Turkish champions Galatasaray. His parent club, Napoli, has set a release clause of €75 million and is open to letting him go.
Lookman has also impressed with his performances at Atalanta in Serie A. The 27-year-old winger is reportedly available for around €60 million.
Babayaro is confident that both players would thrive at Chelsea.
“Lookman and Osimhen would fit in perfectly at Chelsea,” Babayaro told AfricaFoot. “They would have an immediate impact. These are two of the best strikers in Europe right now. African players have always done well at Chelsea, and these two would be no different.”
Chelsea has a strong history with African players, and Babayaro believes Osimhen and Lookman can continue that legacy if they make the move.
