Senate President Godswill Akpabio has shared how he spent three days in Kogi State during the wedding of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. He even had to sleep at the Dangote Cement factory in Obajana due to travel issues.
Akpabio made this statement during a Senate session while lawmakers were discussing the sexual harassment allegation against him by Natasha. He described Natasha’s husband as his good friend and explained how his stay in Kogi extended longer than planned.
“I thought Natasha was the wife of my very good friend and brother. On her wedding day, I stayed in Kogi and even slept in her house. The next day, I tried to fly out from Obajana airport, but my flight was canceled because there was no light. I ended up sleeping at the Dangote Cement factory, making it a three-day stay,” Akpabio said.
Meanwhile, the Senate has suspended Natasha for six months without pay following her allegations against Akpabio.
