Paul Parker, a former Manchester United player, has warned his old club against bringing back Paul Pogba. According to Parker, re-signing the French midfielder would be a step backward for the team.
Parker believes that bringing Pogba back to Manchester United would not help the club move forward.
He pointed out that the club had already tried this twice before, and it didn’t work out. Sir Alex Ferguson let Pogba go for a reason, and Parker feels it would not be a good decision to go down that path again.
Pogba, who is currently a free agent after his contract with Juventus was terminated, is set to return to football in March after serving a reduced 18-month doping ban. At 31 years old, he has had two previous stints with Manchester United.
Parker believes that the club should instead focus on signing players who have the right mentality to improve the team.
He thinks that re-signing Pogba would undermine the current manager and not help the team progress.
