No soldiers by the US would be needed in Gaza – Trump rejects claims American soldiers will enforce peace in Palestine

US President Donald Trump has denied that American soldiers will be sent to Gaza, saying on Thursday, February 6, that “no soldiers by the US would be needed.” His statement comes just days after he suggested that the United States could “take over” and “own” Gaza.

No soldiers by the US would be needed! Stability for the region would reign!!!” he said in an early morning post on his Truth Social platform.

Earlier this week, Trump made the surprising announcement that “the US will take over the Gaza Strip” while meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. However, after facing strong criticism from Palestinians, Arab leaders, and other world leaders, his administration appeared to change its stance.

We will do a job with it, too. We’ll own it,” he said to audible gasps during the press conference, offering few details on how the United States could remove more than two million Palestinians or control the war-battered territory.

By Wednesday, US officials clarified that there was no commitment to sending troops. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the idea “was not meant to be hostile.” The White House also confirmed there were no plans for US military involvement.

On Thursday morning, Trump explained that “Israel would hand over Gaza to the United States after the fighting ends.” He also claimed that Palestinians would have already been moved to “far safer and more beautiful communities” with modern housing in the region.

Trump’s remarks have sparked controversy, with many questioning his intentions and the feasibility of such a plan. The situation in Gaza remains uncertain as discussions continue.
