Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, has spoken about his relationship with Paula Hurd for the first time.

In an interview on the Today show, Gates, 69, expressed his happiness, saying, “I’m lucky to have a serious girlfriend named Paula. We’re having fun, going to the Olympics, and lots of great things.

Paula Hurd, a philanthropist and businesswoman, was married to the late Mark Hurd, the former CEO of Oracle, until his passing in 2019.

Gates and Hurd were first seen together in 2022 and made their relationship public in early 2023. Since then, they have attended several high-profile events, including the Paris Olympics, the Breakthrough Prize Ceremony, and Anant Ambani’s wedding.

In an interview with the Times of London, Gates opened up about his divorce from Melinda French Gates after 27 years of marriage.

He admitted that the separation was the hardest time in his life and remains his biggest regret. The divorce process was emotionally challenging and lasted for about two years.

Gates acknowledged that he made mistakes during his marriage, including an affair with a Microsoft employee. He took responsibility for his actions but chose not to go into details.

Another issue that contributed to the separation was his past connection with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which he later admitted was a “mistake.”

Melinda publicly expressed her strong disapproval of these interactions, stating, “I did not like that he had meetings with Jeffrey Epstein, no. He was abhorrent. He was evil personified.”

Despite the challenges, Gates said he is happier now and has moved forward with his life. His relationship with Paula Hurd marks a new chapter for him.
