Former President Bill Clinton, 78, was hospitalized on Monday after developing a fever. His former deputy chief of staff, Angel Urena, confirmed the news on social media, sharing that Clinton is currently at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., undergoing tests. Urena reassured everyone that Clinton is doing well, in good spirits, and receiving excellent care.
Though Clinton is in the hospital as a precaution, it is not considered an emergency situation. His team added that he hopes to be home and out of the hospital before Christmas.
This isn’t the first time Clinton has faced health issues. Back in 2021, he was hospitalized for a urological infection that spread to his bloodstream. Clinton has also had heart-related procedures, including quadruple bypass heart surgery in 2004 and another procedure to open an artery in 2010.
Despite his health challenges, Clinton has remained involved in politics. He spoke at the Democratic National Convention earlier this year and campaigned for Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of the 2024 election.
We send our best wishes to the former president for a speedy recovery and hope he will be back to full health soon.
