The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is celebrating a major achievement as one of its officers, Corporal Juliet Chukwu, has been crowned Bantamweight Champion at the Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC119) held in Johannesburg, South Africa. This victory highlights her exceptional talent and showcases Nigeria’s growing presence in the global sports arena.
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has prioritized the development of sports within the Force. Under his leadership, the NPF has embraced Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) through several initiatives, including the creation of the Nigeria Police MMA Association, the first-ever IGP MMA Open National Championship, and plans to feature MMA at the upcoming 14th Biennial Police Games (BIPOGA) – Oluyole 2024.
