In a shocking case, a man named Jibril Falalu from the Tsa/Magam community in Katsina State has confessed to organizing his own mother’s kidnapping with the help of bandits.
The incident took place in Kankia Local Government Area. According to Falalu’s confession, he worked with two accomplices, including someone identified as Nakande, to plan the abduction. Fortunately, his mother was rescued just a day after she was taken.
Falalu was arrested on Thursday by Katsina Community Watch (KCW) officials. Crisis journalist Bakatsine reported the arrest and shared a video of Falalu’s confession online. In the video, Falalu said, “I arranged for the abduction of my mother. We worked on it together with Nakande and one other; we were three all together.”
The case has sparked anger and disbelief in the community, with many questioning how a son could betray his own mother in such a way.
