The Kwara State Government has announced a warning to all public sector workers who have not yet registered with the Kwara State Residents’ Registration Agency (KWSRRA). Workers who fail to register by November will not receive their salary or bonuses for the month.
This message was shared by Dr. Hauwa Nuru, the state’s commissioner for finance, in a statement on November 11. According to Dr. Nuru, the registration process, which began in July, is mandatory for all workers in the state.
The KWSRRA, a government agency, is legally authorized to collect personal data of residents in Kwara State and issue them unique identification numbers. This data will help the government plan better, manage resources efficiently, and improve services like healthcare, education, and public safety.
The registration is crucial for everyone in the state, and those who have not yet signed up are urged to do so to avoid missing out on their November pay.
“In line with the administration’s commitment to accountability and transparency in resource administration, a directive had since been issued mandating all state employees, including those across the 16 local government areas, to complete their registration.
“Effective from November, workers who have not registered will not receive salary payments or bonuses,” she said.
“The integrity of our data impacts all our financial and administrative systems.
“A complete database helps us make informed decisions, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure that every eligible worker is compensated fairly and accurately,” she added.
”All state employees who have not yet registered are advised to do so,” she said.
“By following this directive, Kwara government is working to establish a more efficient and equitable system for its workforce and residents alike,” she said.
