In the run-up to the 2024 gubernatorial election in Ondo State, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has called on Osun indigenes living in Ondo to support Agboola Ajayi, the candidate from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The governor made this appeal during his campaign visit to Ondo on November 5, where he joined Ajayi in touring different local governments.
While in Ondo’s capital, Akure, Governor Adeleke spoke directly to the Osun indigenes, encouraging them to vote for Agboola Ajayi in the election. He emphasized the importance of supporting the PDP and staying committed to their votes on election day.
Governor Adeleke also highlighted the accomplishments of his administration in Osun State, noting that many achievements that were not made in the past 12 years had been realized in just two years. He expressed confidence that Ajayi, with his grassroots experience, would bring similar success to Ondo State if elected.
The governor expressed his full support for Ajayi, stating that with faith in God, Agboola Ajayi could bring the same positive changes to Ondo as were seen in Osun. He urged the people of Ondo to rally behind Ajayi, believing he is the right candidate for the state’s future.
Agboola Ajayi, for his part, expressed gratitude to the people of Osun for their unwavering support. He promised to bring the dividends of democracy to all residents of Ondo if he is elected governor.
Kehinde Ayinla, the Chairman of Osun State Indigenes in Ondo, also assured the PDP candidate of the strong backing from Osun indigenes across Ondo’s 18 local government areas, guaranteeing a large turnout at the polls.
