The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has reached a new partnership agreement with German sportswear giant Adidas, which will become the official kit supplier for Nigeria’s national football teams from 2027.
The reported deal, valued at $8.5 million annually, comprises $4.5 million in cash payments to the NFF and an additional $4 million worth of kits and equipment for the country’s national teams.
Under the agreement, the NFF is also expected to receive a 20 per cent share of merchandise sales generated through Adidas’ retail network in Nigeria.
The partnership will mark the end of Nigeria’s current kit-supply agreement with Nike, which is set to expire at the end of 2026. Adidas previously supplied Nigeria’s national teams before Nike took over in 2015.
The return of Adidas is expected to provide a significant commercial boost to Nigerian football, while increasing resources available to the Super Eagles, Super Falcons and the country’s various youth national teams.
The partnership is expected to take effect in 2027, marking Adidas’ return to Nigerian football after more than a decade.
