Following widespread reports of voter disenfranchisement across several parts of the country during yesterday’s African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Primaries, I hereby unequivocally reject the results currently being announced by the party leadership.

Prior to the exercise, I made it clear that I would only accept the outcome of a process that was free, fair, and transparent.

I remain committed to that position. Any result emerging from a process marred by irregularities, exclusion, and lack of transparency cannot stand and does not reflect the democratic values the ADC promised Nigerians.

It is deeply troubling that a significant majority of party members were allegedly denied the opportunity to vote, yet the process is being presented as credible.

Such actions undermine the very principles upon which the ADC was founded — to offer Nigerians a genuine alternative anchored on justice, fairness, inclusion, and accountability.

The ADC was envisioned as a platform to amplify the voices of ordinary Nigerians, particularly the marginalized and downtrodden, while building a nation where every citizen is treated equally regardless of ethnicity, religion, or social background.

Any attempt to subvert that vision through manipulation and disenfranchisement is unacceptable.

A political party that has consistently criticized the ruling APC and INEC over allegations of vote buying, result manipulation, and electoral malpractice must not be seen engaging in similar conduct.

Nigerians deserve better, and party members deserve a transparent and credible democratic process.

I therefore call on the leadership of the party to immediately address these concerns and uphold the integrity of the democratic process.
