The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has dismissed a suit seeking to bar former President Goodluck Jonathan from contesting the 2027 presidential election.
Delivering its ruling, the court held that the action constituted an abuse of court process and accordingly struck out the suit in its entirety.
The court further imposed a cost of ₦20 million against the plaintiff, to be paid in favor of former President Jonathan.
In addition, the court ordered the plaintiff to pay ₦1 million to the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation.
