I’m Not Afraid, I’ll Never Be Intimidated – Seun Okinbaloye Fires Back At Wike

Seun Okinbaloye, a Channels Television presenter, has reacted strongly to comments made by Nyesom Wike, saying he is not afraid and cannot be intimidated.

Wike had earlier made a controversial statement, saying he would have “broken his TV and shot” Okinbaloye over remarks about the dangers of a one-party system in Nigeria. The comment sparked criticism from different groups, including Amnesty International, which described the statement as reckless and inappropriate.

In response, Okinbaloye explained that although Wike later reached out to clarify his statement, such language should not be used in a democratic society. He stressed that disagreement is normal, but threats or violent words should never be part of public discussions.

He also warned that Nigeria’s democracy could be at risk if there is no balance in the political system. According to him, his comments were not targeted at any political party but meant for all Nigerians who care about the country’s growth.

Okinbaloye ended by reaffirming his commitment to journalism, stating that he will continue asking important questions and holding those in power accountable, without fear.
