Plateau Governor, Mutfwang sacks political appointees

Governor Caleb Mutfwang has approved the immediate removal of six political appointees in Plateau State. The decision is part of efforts to improve governance and service delivery.

The announcement was made by Samuel Jatau, who said the move is aimed at repositioning the administration for better performance and alignment with its goals.

Those affected include Timothy Golu, Gwottson Fom, Nanbol Rimvyat, Nannim Langyi, Paul Datugum, and Nimchak Rims. They previously served in different advisory and liaison roles.

In addition, the governor also approved the suspension of Johnbull Shakarau, Chairman of the Plateau State House of Assembly Service Commission, over alleged misconduct.

The suspension will remain until investigations into the matter are completed. Authorities say further action will depend on the findings.

The state government thanked the affected officials for their service and directed them to return all government property in their possession without delay.
