Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of failing to protect Nigerians, following a Monday night bombing in Maiduguri, Borno State. Amaechi described the government as incompetent and lacking leadership to safeguard lives and property.
Condemning the attacks, Amaechi expressed sympathy to the victims’ families, stating that citizens continue to suffer while the government enjoys lavish lifestyles without addressing insecurity.
He emphasised that Tinubu’s government is “literally destroying lives” by neglecting its primary duty to protect citizens, calling the recent Maiduguri bombing a reflection of governmental complacency and indifference.
Amaechi urged for decisive action to end insecurity in Nigeria, describing the ongoing violence by bandits and insurgents as a direct consequence of failed leadership.
