Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has responded to rumours linking him romantically with actress and reality star Bamike Olawunmi-Adenibuyan after their roles together in a film. He dismissed claims, stressing he maintained professional boundaries throughout filming.
Speaking to BBC Igbo, Arukwe explained he discussed limits with Bambam before performing any scenes requiring physical contact to avoid causing marital issues. “Before I touched her, I asked her if there was any way I could touch her that her husband wouldn’t like or that might cause problems at home,” he said.
He also clarified that they were never involved off-screen, revealing that the movie marked the first time they met. “People started saying we slept together and were dating, which was completely false,” Arukwe added.
The actor urged fans and critics to separate on-screen roles from real-life relationships, highlighting professionalism and respect for colleagues’ personal lives.
