Multiple explosions rock Iran’s capital as Israel launches fresh wave of strikes

Israel has launched a fresh wave of airstrikes on Iran’s capital, Tehran, with multiple explosions reported across the city early Friday. The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the operation on Telegram, saying it targeted Iranian state infrastructure.

The military described the strikes as the start of “a wide-scale wave of attacks against the infrastructure of the Iranian terror regime across Tehran.” Witnesses reported hearing blasts in several areas of the capital shortly after the announcement.

The operation comes amid a 14-day escalation involving Israel, the United States, and Iran, a conflict that has caused thousands of casualties and strained global energy markets.

Analysts warn the continuing airstrikes could heighten regional instability, affect oil prices, and escalate tensions between major powers in the Middle East. Authorities in Tehran are assessing damage and coordinating emergency responses.
