The Cross River State chapter of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has condemned an “illegal” meeting by non-members attempting to hijack the party’s structure. The Vice Chairman for the Central Senatorial District, Dr. Mcphalane Ejah, stated that the party remains united under State Chairman Ambassador Dr. John Oga.
Ejah described the unauthorised gathering as a troubling development and commended party members for their loyalty and commitment to the growth of the ADC in the state. He emphasized that the party continues to uphold democratic principles and people-centered development.
He insisted that the ADC in Cross River rejects impunity and any attempt to impose leadership, stressing that the will of the people should guide the party’s direction. Ejah reaffirmed that no faction exists and all activities are conducted strictly according to the party constitution.
The party reiterated that the only recognised leadership is that of Dr. John Oga and vowed to resist any efforts to undermine the democratic structure or hijack the party’s activities in Cross River State.
