American actor Kevin Spacey is facing fresh civil allegations of sexual abuse, with claims said to date back nearly 50 years. Three men have filed a lawsuit accusing him of using his fame and influence to target young individuals.
At a recent High Court session, it was alleged that one of the earliest incidents happened while Spacey was still in high school in the 1970s. The actor, now 66, has strongly denied all accusations brought against him.
Although he was acquitted in 2023 of criminal charges in the UK, some accusers have continued with civil claims seeking financial compensation. Legal representatives argued that the alleged actions involved inappropriate conduct over several years.
Spacey has admitted to past inappropriate behavior but insists he never forced or pressured anyone into sexual acts. A separate settlement was also confirmed between one claimant and the Old Vic Theatre, without any admission of liability.
