Armed bandits attacked Janjala Village in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State in the early hours of March 2. The gunmen reportedly fired shots indiscriminately, leaving one resident injured and abducting several others.

A 25-year-old victim, identified as Shamsu Adamu, sustained a gunshot wound and was taken to the General Hospital in Kagarko for treatment. Community members reported the incident to security authorities shortly after the attack.

Sources said the attackers took an unspecified number of villagers to an unknown location. The incident has raised fresh security concerns in the area.

Security operatives, working with local vigilantes, have launched a search operation in nearby bushes to rescue the kidnapped victims and track down the perpetrators.
