28 ships laden with petroleum, other commodities set to arrive Lagos ports

Twenty-eight cargo vessels loaded with petroleum products and other goods are scheduled to arrive at Lagos ports between February 19 and 28, according to the Nigerian Ports Authority. The shipments are expected across Apapa Port, Tin Can Island Port, and Lekki Deep Sea Port as maritime activities intensify.

The authority said 20 of the incoming ships are transporting containers filled with various goods, while eight others carry products such as crude oil, diesel, aviation fuel, and mixed cargo. The arrivals are part of routine maritime operations aimed at supporting trade and supply.

It also revealed that 12 vessels are already waiting offshore for berth space with items like wheat, urea, fuel, and general cargo. This queue reflects ongoing port traffic and steady import flow into the country.

Meanwhile, 18 ships are currently unloading goods including gypsum, diesel, wheat, containers, and trucks. The development highlights continued commercial movement through Lagos ports and their importance to Nigeria’s economy.
