Eight-year-old American singer Aura V has entered the record books as the youngest individually credited Grammy Award winner in history. She achieved the milestone at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, where she won alongside her father under the name FYÜTCH & Aura V. Their project, Harmony, clinched the award for Best Children’s Music Album, marking a major moment for young artists worldwide.
With this win, Aura V broke a long-standing record previously held by Blue Ivy Carter, the daughter of global stars Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Blue Ivy won her first Grammy in 2021 at the age of nine, earning recognition for her role in the music video Brown Skin Girl. Aura’s victory at just eight years old now places her at the very top of Grammy history in terms of age.
Blue Ivy’s Grammy-winning project featured a star-studded lineup, including her mother Beyoncé, Nigerian music icon Wizkid, and Guyanese-American singer Saint Jhn. The song was widely celebrated for its message and cultural impact, although Saint Jhn was not individually credited for the award because he did not appear in the official music video.
Aura V’s achievement has been praised as a powerful example of creativity, family collaboration, and early talent development. Her success not only sets a new benchmark at the Grammys but also inspires young musicians around the world to dream big, proving that age is no barrier to global recognition.
