Crown FC have announced the appointment of Azeez Sulaiman as their new assistant coach ahead of the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL) campaign. The club confirmed that Sulaiman will work closely with newly appointed head coach Fatai Osho as the team looks to rebuild and push for better results.
The appointment follows the exit of former head coach Ayodeji Ayeni, who recently moved to Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) giants Enyimba FC. Crown FC turned to Osho to lead the technical crew, and the addition of Sulaiman is seen as a strategic move to strengthen the coaching department.
Sulaiman brings valuable experience from Nigeria’s lower leagues, having worked with several clubs over the years. His coaching career received a major boost in 2021 when he attended the Nigeria Institute for Sports (NIS) Coaching Course, a programme that helped refine his knowledge of modern football tactics and player development.
With Sulaiman now on board, Crown FC hope the partnership with Osho will restore the club’s competitive edge. The Ogbomosho-based side are aiming to reclaim their place among Nigeria’s elite teams and make a strong statement in the NNL this season.
