Morocco coach, Walid Regragui, has explained why his team defeated Nigeria’s Super Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations. He said the win came from careful planning, discipline, and following the match strategy strictly from start to finish.
Regragui noted that his players were well prepared for Nigeria’s style of play and focused on stopping their key attackers. According to him, closing down spaces quickly and pressing high helped Morocco control the tempo of the game.
He also praised his players for staying calm under pressure, especially when Nigeria tried to fight back. Regragui said patience and teamwork were very important because Nigeria is known for their speed and strength in attack.
The coach added that the victory was a result of hard work on the training ground and unity within the team. He said Morocco will continue to build on the performance as they aim to go further in the tournament.
