Security forces in Kaduna State have successfully raided a criminal hideout, leading to the death of seven suspected kidnappers and the rescue of a victim held in captivity. The operation was carried out after intelligence reports revealed the location of the gang’s camp, prompting swift action by the troops.

During the raid, the criminals reportedly engaged the soldiers in a gunfight but were overpowered. Seven members of the gang were neutralised in the exchange, while others escaped into nearby bushes. The troops searched the area and ensured it was safe before proceeding with rescue efforts.

The kidnapped victim was found alive inside the camp and immediately freed by the soldiers. The victim was later taken to a safe location for medical checks and to reunite with family members. Security officials confirmed that no civilian was harmed during the operation.

Authorities said the operation is part of ongoing efforts to weaken criminal networks and improve security in Kaduna and other affected regions. Residents were urged to continue sharing useful information with security agencies to help stop kidnapping and other crimes.
