2027: ADC inaugurates transitional, membership registration committees in Borno

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has inaugurated transitional and membership registration committees in Borno State as part of its preparations for the 2027 general elections. The move is aimed at strengthening the party’s structure, expanding its membership base, and positioning it as a strong political force in the state ahead of the next polls.

Party leaders said the newly formed committees will oversee internal coordination, grassroots mobilisation, and registration of new members across all local government areas. They were tasked with uniting old and new members, resolving internal differences, and building a functional party structure that can effectively compete in future elections.

The ADC described the initiative as a major step toward democratic participation and inclusive politics in Borno. According to the party, encouraging citizens to register and take part in political processes will help improve accountability, representation, and public trust in governance.

With the 2027 elections approaching, ADC officials believe early organisation is key to success. The party says it remains committed to peaceful politics, internal democracy, and people-centred policies as it expands its presence across Borno State and the wider North-East region.
