Christian genocide: How Israeli PM, Netanyahu plans to help Nigeria – Ambassador

Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is planning to support Nigeria in addressing rising insecurity and attacks on Christian communities, according to Israel’s ambassador to Nigeria. The envoy said Israel is concerned about the situation in parts of the country where violent groups have targeted civilians, including Christians, and believes Nigeria needs stronger security cooperation and intelligence support to protect vulnerable communities.

The ambassador explained that Israel is ready to share its experience in counter-terrorism, border security and intelligence gathering with Nigerian authorities. He said Netanyahu’s government sees Nigeria as a key partner in Africa and wants to help strengthen its ability to prevent attacks before they happen, rather than only reacting after violence has occurred.

He also noted that the proposed support is not only about military assistance, but also about training, technology and information sharing. According to him, Israel is willing to help Nigeria improve early-warning systems, surveillance capacity and community-based security approaches that can reduce the risk of violence and protect lives.

The ambassador added that any cooperation would be done with respect for Nigeria’s sovereignty and laws, stressing that Israel does not intend to interfere in Nigeria’s internal affairs. He said the goal is to support peace, stability and the protection of all citizens, regardless of their religion or background.
