Retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme have received an additional N2.68 billion payment. The payment aims to support retirees and ensure timely disbursement of their pension entitlements.
The National Pension Commission (PenCom) disclosed that the extra funds were processed as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the pension system and improve retirees’ welfare. This latest payment follows earlier disbursements to beneficiaries across the country.
Officials confirmed that the additional payment will help retirees meet personal and household needs during the festive period. They also assured that the commission is committed to prompt pension management and timely remittance of funds.
The commission urged all retirees to verify their accounts and report any discrepancies. PenCom reiterated that the contributory pension scheme remains a key pillar in securing financial stability for retired workers in Nigeria.
