A civil society group has raised concerns over the persistent neglect of Southern Kaduna by past governments. The group stated that the region has lagged in development, infrastructure, and social services compared to other parts of the state.
According to the group, communities in Southern Kaduna have long been deprived of basic amenities such as good roads, healthcare facilities, and schools, which has hindered economic growth and social progress. They emphasized the urgent need for government intervention to address these long-standing disparities.
The organization called on current authorities to prioritize development in Southern Kaduna, stressing that equitable distribution of resources is key to peace and stability in the region. They also urged policymakers to involve local leaders in decision-making processes.
Residents have welcomed the group’s statement, expressing hope that sustained attention from the government will finally bring improvements and bridge the development gap in Southern Kaduna.
