The Social Democratic Party (SDP) chairmanship candidate for the upcoming Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) elections has promised to tackle the issue of double taxation if elected. He emphasized that residents and businesses should not be overburdened by repeated tax charges.
Speaking at a campaign rally, the candidate said that ending double taxation will encourage business growth and improve the financial wellbeing of citizens. He also highlighted the need for transparent governance and fair revenue collection.
The candidate assured voters that his administration will introduce policies to simplify tax procedures and ensure that taxes collected are used effectively for community development. He believes this approach will strengthen trust between the government and residents.
As the AMAC elections draw near, residents hope that candidates’ promises, such as ending double taxation, will translate into tangible actions that improve local governance and economic growth.
