Iran has strongly dismissed claims by Donald Trump that both nations are engaged in peace negotiations. Iranian military officials described the statement as false and misleading.
A spokesperson from the Khatam al-Anbia Headquarters said the United States is “negotiating with itself,” insisting that no real discussions are taking place with Tehran.
The official criticized Washington’s position, claiming that what was once described as US strategic strength has now turned into weakness. He warned against presenting setbacks as diplomatic success.
Iran also stressed that it would not be pressured into any agreement. The spokesperson made it clear that the country has no intention of entering talks with the US or its allies, including Israel.
He further stated that stability in the region depends on Iran’s military strength, adding that energy markets and regional influence would not return to previous conditions without their consent.
The strong response highlights growing tension between both sides, as conflicting statements continue to emerge. Analysts believe the situation could further impact global peace efforts and energy markets.
