Nigerian troops have neutralised more than 14 terrorists during coordinated military operations carried out across different parts of the country. The operations were part of ongoing efforts to weaken criminal networks and restore peace in troubled areas.
According to security sources, the troops also intercepted ransom money meant for terrorist groups. The recovery followed intelligence-led missions that targeted hideouts, movement routes, and supply lines used by the criminals to fund their activities.
The military said several weapons, ammunition, and logistics were also recovered during the operations. These successes, officials noted, show improved cooperation between security agencies and the effective use of intelligence in combating terrorism and banditry.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining the pressure on terrorists and other criminal elements nationwide. They urged citizens to continue providing useful information to security agencies, stressing that public support remains crucial to winning the fight against insecurity.
