Fubara’s defection shows indecisiveness – ADC claims

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has criticised Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara over his reported defection, describing the move as a sign of political indecisiveness. According to the party, frequent changes in political loyalty raise questions about a leader’s long-term vision and commitment.

ADC leaders said political parties should be chosen based on clear beliefs and principles, not short-term advantages. They argued that switching parties at a critical time could weaken public trust and create uncertainty among supporters and political allies.

The party further noted that leadership requires consistency, especially in a politically sensitive state like Rivers. ADC warned that constant political shifts may distract from governance and delay meaningful development for the people.

Despite its criticism, the ADC called on political actors to put the interest of citizens first. The party urged leaders across Nigeria to focus on stability, accountability, and service delivery rather than personal political survival.
