Former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, has firmly denied claims that he was ever involved in terrorism financing. He described the allegations as false, misleading, and aimed at damaging his reputation. Malami stressed that throughout his years in public service, no report or investigation has ever linked him to such activities.

Malami explained that the rumours are politically motivated and created to distract the public. He noted that those spreading the accusations have no evidence and are only attempting to score cheap political points. According to him, he has always worked within the law and maintained a clean record.

The former AGF added that he has nothing to hide and is open to any legal inquiry. He stated that national security issues should not be used for political fights, as such behaviour weakens public trust. Malami urged Nigerians to focus on verified information instead of believing baseless stories.

He also called on security agencies to take action against those spreading fake claims. Malami reaffirmed that his integrity remains intact, and he will continue to defend himself against any false allegations.
