An engineer has shared his ordeal after a real estate developer failed to deliver apartments that he had fully paid for using his life savings. According to him, he invested heavily, trusting the developer’s promises, only to be left empty-handed months after the payment deadline.
The engineer explained that despite multiple follow-ups and assurances from the developer, no apartment was handed over. He noted that the developer kept giving excuses, ranging from construction delays to supposed regulatory approvals that never materialized.
Consumer protection advocates have condemned such practices, urging buyers to be careful and for authorities to enforce strict regulations on real estate transactions. They warned that such incidents could discourage citizens from investing in housing projects if left unchecked.
The engineer’s story has sparked public concern, highlighting the need for transparency and accountability in the real estate sector. Residents are calling for stronger monitoring of developers to protect homebuyers’ investments.
