Anambra: INEC issues certificates of return to Soludo, deputy

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented certificates of return to Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, and his deputy following the conclusion of the state governorship process. The ceremony took place at the INEC office in Awka, where officials confirmed the governor-elect’s victory and fulfilled the legal requirement for handing over the official documents.

Prof. Soludo expressed his appreciation to the people of Anambra for their trust and support. He promised to continue working towards improved governance, economic growth and building a peaceful and progressive state. His deputy also thanked residents and assured them of a strong partnership in moving Anambra forward.

INEC officials congratulated the winners and urged political actors and citizens to continue to support democratic processes. They emphasized that the certificates of return confirm the candidates as duly elected leaders of the state. The electoral body also reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and credible elections across Nigeria.

With the certificates issued, preparations are now underway for the swearing-in ceremony, which will mark the beginning of another phase of leadership and development for Anambra State.
