Former Ajax manager, John Heitinga, has warned that the club must find a way to contain Victor Osimhen if they hope to get a positive result in their upcoming UEFA Champions League clash.

Heitinga said the Nigerian striker is currently one of the most dangerous forwards in Europe and can change a game at any moment.

Speaking ahead of the match, he noted that Osimhen’s pace, power, and sharp finishing make him a major threat to any defence. He stressed that Ajax defenders must stay focused and avoid giving him space or easy opportunities inside the box.

According to Heitinga, shutting down Osimhen will be key to controlling the game. He added that Ajax must maintain discipline, press as a unit, and take their own chances when they come.

The Dutch side is aiming for a strong performance, while Osimhen will be looking to continue his impressive form in Europe’s top competition.
