Former Premier League midfielder Danny Murphy has shared his thoughts on Manchester United’s recent winning run under manager Ruben Amorim. The Red Devils have enjoyed a much-needed turnaround, securing three straight victories — including a big win away at Liverpool and a strong 4-2 result over Brighton. With their improved form, United now sit sixth in the Premier League table heading into their clash against Nottingham Forest.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Murphy said Manchester United’s system has not changed much, but the execution has improved. He noted they are more organised, harder to beat, and now have better quality in attack, which is helping them create more chances. According to him, Amorim’s only challenge has been selecting the right players for specific roles at times.
Murphy added that if United continue their winning run, the team will build strong momentum and confidence, easing pressure on the squad and management. He believes this could help them finish in the top six or seven of the league. Although he admits a top-four finish is unlikely, Murphy said it remains possible with an outstanding run — but highlighted that United still rely too heavily on a few key attacking players.
Overall, Murphy feels Manchester United look more settled, more competitive, and are finding results through discipline, improved player quality, and better team structure.
