Notorious bandit kingpin Ado Aleru k!lls 7 of his fighters in Zamfara over alleged betrayal and ‘unauthorised kidnappings’

Notorious bandit kingpin, Ado Aleru, has reportedly killed seven of his own fighters in Zamfara State after accusing them of betrayal and carrying out kidnappings without his approval.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama revealed that the incident happened across villages of Takulawa, Turba, Bamamu, and the Yamma forest axis.

According to reports, Aleru accused his men of staging unauthorised kidnappings along the Gusau–Yankara highway, a move he believed was drawing too much attention from security forces.

Sources claimed that the bandit leader personally executed the fighters after confirming they were behind recent abductions of travellers.

The killings have now spread fear and unrest within his camp, as many of his loyalists fear he no longer trusts them.

Ado Aleru has long been on the Federal Government’s wanted terrorist list for masterminding killings, kidnappings, and cattle rustling across Zamfara, Katsina, and Sokoto States.

Ironically, the same bandit leader was recently said to be in peace talks with the government to end hostilities in the North West.
