Lagos state police shuts down claim that a restaurant k!lls people and sell their body parts to its customers

The Lagos State Police Command has reacted to a viral video claiming that a restaurant on Airport Road, Lagos, was killing people and selling their body parts to customers.

Police spokesperson CSP Benjamin Hundeyin described the allegations as completely false, stressing that the story was baseless and had no truth in it.

He explained that once the video began spreading online, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, quickly ordered the Deputy Commissioner of Police from the State Criminal Investigation Department to investigate the matter.

The investigation showed that the viral claims were fake, as no evidence of such activities was found at the restaurant.

The police advised members of the public to disregard the rumour, noting that it was only meant to create fear and panic among residents.

They also encouraged Lagosians to continue visiting the restaurant since nothing illegal was discovered there.

Hundeyin added that the police are now tracking down those behind the fake video and called on anyone with credible information to come forward.

He assured that any details provided would be treated in strict confidence to help with ongoing investigations.

He further stated that the Lagos Police Command remains dedicated to protecting lives and businesses in the state.

The public was also urged to fact-check information before sharing to stop the spread of fake news and misleading content.
