President Donald Trump addressed reports of a potential Iranian revenge drone attack targeting California, saying federal law enforcement is actively investigating the threat. The warning followed FBI alerts about possible sleeper cells and unmanned aerial vehicles allegedly positioned off the U.S. coast.
The FBI stated that Iran may have planned a surprise drone strike in retaliation for U.S. strikes, though timing, targets, and methods remain unknown. Trump said authorities are monitoring the situation closely and handling threats as they arise.
Trump also blamed President Joe Biden’s immigration policies for the possible presence of sleeper cells, claiming many entered through “an open border.” He emphasized that most are under surveillance by U.S. authorities.
The president touted the effectiveness of U.S. actions against Iran, saying Iranian forces are “decimated,” and criticized Democrats, claiming their partial DHS shutdown hampers investigations into threats.
