The Julius Abure-led faction of the Labour Party has described the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as an “Uber” politician.
Abure made this comment in a statement he personally released on Friday.
He accused Obi of using crafty political tactics and often raising alarms about problems that do not exist.
According to him, Obi could earn a spot in the Guinness World Records for being connected to several political parties at the same time, all in his quest to become Nigeria’s president.
Abure said it was unfortunate that Obi had turned into both a contradiction and a puzzle in the country’s political scene.
He described him as an “Uber” politician who avoids taking a firm position or sticking to his decisions.
The remarks came in response to Obi’s recent instructions to his supporters ahead of the August 16 by-elections.
It will be remembered that Obi had urged his followers to support African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidates in the coming by-elections across some states.
