Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is mourning the death of his mother, Jackie Bezos, who has passed away at the age of 78.

According to the Daily Mail, Jackie died peacefully at her home in Miami after a long fight with Lewy Body Dementia. Jeff shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, saying she spent her last moments surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and husband.

In his post, Jeff said he knew she felt their love in those final moments, adding that they were all lucky to have had her in their lives and that he will always keep her safe in his heart.

The Bezos Scholars Program also paid tribute, describing Jackie as a woman full of strength, kindness, and love for her family, who found great joy in watching them grow.

Jackie was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in 2020, and her husband Mike stayed by her side throughout the illness.
